European Maritime Day
 After Brussels 2008, Rome 2009, Gijon 2010 and Gdansk 2011, the 2012 edition of the European Maritime Day will be organized in Gothenburg, Västra Götaland, Sweden on 21 and 22 May 2012 – for the first time in Scandinavia and in the North Sea area. The High-level Conference "Sustainable growth from the oceans, seas and the coasts", are organized in partnership with the Swedish Ministry of Enterprise, the Region Västra Götaland, the City of Gothenburg and the European Commission, and will take place on the beautiful premises of the Eriksbergshallen, an old shipyard building at the water’s edge which houses today an event hall featuring innovative architecture and definitive Scandinavian design.
